Why you want this
Google Analytics is free and tells you whether your website actually brings in customers: how many people come, how they found you, what they look at and how many call or fill in a form. You set it up once; after that RecensioAI reads it for you in plain language.
No technical background needed — just follow the steps below.
Step 1 — Create your account (2 min)
Go to analytics.google.com, sign in with your business Google account and click Start measuring. Give the account your business name.
Step 2 — Create a property (2 min)
A *property* is simply "one website". Name it after your website (e.g. *bellarestaurant.com*), pick your country, currency and time zone. Choose Web as the platform and enter your website address.
Step 3 — Copy your measurement ID (1 min)
Google shows a code starting with G-, for example `G-BQM06FV0BG`. That is your measurement ID. Copy it — you can always find it again under Admin → Data streams → your website.
Step 4 — Put it on your website (5 min)
Pick whichever matches your site:
- WordPress — install the free *Site Kit by Google* plugin and connect it. Nothing else needed. - Shopify — Online Store → Preferences → Google Analytics → paste your G- ID. - Wix / Squarespace / Webflow — Settings → Marketing / Integrations → Google Analytics → paste your G- ID. - Custom website — send your developer the snippet Google shows on screen; it goes in the `<head>` of every page.

Step 5 — Connect it to RecensioAI
Google needs about 24 hours to collect the first data. After that, open Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics → Connect in the app and pick your website. Don't see your site in the list? Paste your G- ID or numeric property ID in the field at the bottom of the window.
No website at all? Then Analytics has nothing to measure. Your Google Business Profile numbers (searches, calls, direction requests) still work without one — and we can build you a simple website as an add-on.
