A Google review QR code is a scannable code that takes customers directly to your Google review page, making it as easy as possible to leave a review.
With the free QR code generator from RecensioAI you can create a QR code for your Google Business Profile in seconds. Paste your review link, generate the code and download it as a PNG.
Get your review link
Search for your business in the tool. We build the official Google review link that opens the rating window directly.
Generate the QR code
The link is turned into a QR code. There is no interstitial page and no tracking in between: one scan takes the customer straight to Google.
Download and print
Download the code as a 600 by 600 pixel PNG. That is sharp enough for stickers, cards, receipts and posters.
Placement decides almost everything. A QR code works at the moment the customer is happy and already holding their phone.
| Placement | Timing | Works well for |
|---|---|---|
| On the bill or receipt | Right after paying | Restaurants, cafés, retail |
| At the counter or reception | At checkout | Shops, practices, salons |
| In the vehicle or on the invoice | At handover | Garages, installers, contractors |
| On the room card | At check-out | Hotels, B&Bs, holiday rentals |
| On a card in the bag | When unpacking at home | Webshops with local pickup |
Always add one line of text. A code without context gets ignored; "Scan to leave us a review — 20 seconds" performs noticeably better.
Codes printed too small are the most common mistake. Stick to these minimum sizes, with white space around the code.
| Use | Scan distance | Minimum size |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt or card | 4-8 in | 2 x 2 cm |
| Sticker on table or counter | 8-16 in | 3 x 3 cm |
| Table stand | 16-24 in | 4 x 4 cm |
| Poster at eye level | 3-6 ft | 10 x 10 cm |
| Window sticker or sign | 6-13 ft | 20 x 20 cm |
Rule of thumb: the code should be about one tenth of the distance you want to scan it from. Always print dark on light, never light on dark.
No. The code points to your permanent Google review link. As long as your business profile exists, the code keeps working — even if you printed it years ago.
Yes. Both camera apps read QR codes by default. The customer lands in the Google Maps app or in the browser, depending on what is installed.
Not with this free code — it goes straight to Google with no intermediate step. To measure scans, clicks and results you use a RecensioAI review link instead of the direct Google link.
In nearly all cases the code was printed too small, in too light a colour, or something overlaps its edge. Stick to the minimum sizes and leave white space around the code.
You can place the code inside your own design. Do not change the pattern itself and keep enough contrast, otherwise it becomes unreadable.
The QR code is generated in your browser from the official Google review link of your business profile. We do not store the code and we do not track scans.
The print sizes follow the common QR rule of thumb: code width is about one tenth of the reading distance. The rules on asking for reviews come from Google's user-contributed content policy.
